Doha: The Deputy Undersecretary for Private Education Affairs in the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Omar Abdul Aziz Al Naama, recently held a welcome meeting with the managers and heads of nurseries operating in the Qatar, as well as the owners and licensees of these crèches.
He also pointed out that the work of the crèches is an integrated process in which the ministry and the crèches work together with other parties to ensure the delivery of an exceptional service for children aged two months to four years, mentioning the increased demand. of this service by parents, as there are about 193 crèches in different parts of the country, where parents entrust these institutions to their children, while they are working.
These two meetings were born out of the ministry’s desire to communicate with those in charge of crèches, whose affiliation was recently and officially transferred to the ministry, to listen to them, to discuss with them, to discuss development proposals and to overcome obstacles or difficulties. in this important sector.
At the beginning of the meeting, Al Naama commended the role of the Ministry of Development in the previous period and its supervision of nurseries, which were under its authority, stressing the importance of nurseries in the care of children as well as the provision of educational services for them before joining the K-12 educational continuum. For their part, nursery managers and licensees reviewed all the issues and difficulties they face, presented a number of proposals that would help develop work in this sector and presented several ideas and experiences. that could be put to good use.
